Design Studio Startup 2016-2020
Between 2016 and 2020, we established a design studio with a focus on product development. This studio was purposefully designed with essential tools for prototyping, including 3D printers, desktop machines, and hand tools, along with a dedicated plaster mold section and a ceramic kiln. The ground floor encompasses a showcase area at the entrance, production departments, and a backyard, while the mezzanine has been arranged as a design studio.
During this period, we participated in various exhibitions with the products we developed in our design studio. In September 2017, we set up a booth at the Zuchex Home and Kitchenwares Fair, and in October 2017, at the Istanbul Maker Faire held at Haydarpaşa. However, the most significant experience was our presence in the main hall of the 87th edition of the Izmir International Fair, a prominent event for Turkey, held in 2018, where we had a booth and were featured in the fair catalog.
Furthermore, after designing our wooden stand for the Izmir International Fair, we fully manufactured it ourselves in the workshop by recycling waste wood.
Our design studio became a platform for us to enhance our expertise in materials and production, leading us to conduct numerous experiments.
The processes we used and specialized in for creating our prototypes in the workshop involved 3D printer modeling, plaster molding, and ceramic casting.
Our design studio also provided us with experience in patent and design registration. We successfully applied for and obtained a patent for a product we developed here. Furthermore, we acquired design registrations for our unique collection. The entire application process was handled by us within the studio.
